“Sometimes I’m a poet…I just don’t know it
I write lots of poems. I just don’t show em.”
That was one of the first acknowledged poems written by ANAE. Even before then, rhyme schemes found their way into her journal entries as early as elementary school. Words are safe. Writing is silent. And ANAE found a special home in that knowledge. Her poems became her way of expressing her most intimate feelings to her parents, her teachers, her friends, and even her “loved ones.” Her writings became manifestations of her defining moments. And eventually, they became the music she would dance to.
